Hi, I'm Matt Escobar, your local State Farm Insurance Agent here in Chesterfield, VA. I’ve spent the past 9 years helping individuals and families make sense of their insurance and feel confident about protecting what matters most.

I got into this business after years of conversations with recruiters, but it was my own agent who encouraged me to take the leap so I could build a meaningful career and better support my family—and that perspective still drives how I show up for my customers every day. As one of the few financial services licensed agents in the area and a CHFC, I’m here to help with both everyday coverage and bigger-picture conversations, especially when it comes to Life Insurance and financial products.

My team and I live and work right here in Chesterfield, just past Woodlake and centrally located between Midlothian and Moseley, and we’re proud to serve customers throughout Midlothian, Chesterfield, Moseley, Amelia, and Powhatan.

Being part of this community matters to us—we’re actively involved with the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, where I lead a small networking group, and I serve on the board of the Swift Creek YMCA. We also volunteer regularly, support local events, and give back whenever we can. You might also catch us at local car shows or community gatherings, as we love connecting with people beyond the office.

We’re a diverse, friendly, LGBTQ+ supportive team that believes insurance should be personal and approachable. Outside of work, life is busy and full—I have two kids (one in college and one being homeschooled), along with two cats, a dog, and four horses that take up a lot of my time (and money!). When I’m not at the office, you’ll usually find me working out, playing basketball, coaching youth basketball at the YMCA, or out fishing with my son. That balance keeps me grounded and reminds me exactly why protecting what matters is so important.

Our office has a welcoming, down-to-earth feel—you may even be greeted by one of our dogs—and it’s not unusual for us to have something cooking to share with customers and neighbors who stop by. We truly enjoy building relationships and being a trusted resource in the community.
